Julie Scholz

I find the intricate and subtle beauty of nature captivating and get lost in the colors, textures and patterns of the natural world around me. -- Julie Scholz
Julie Scholz began making pictures in 1987 when she studied photography as a Studio Art major at SUNY Oneonta. Her education continued with various workshops on advanced darkroom techniques and alternative processes.

Julie's approach to photography is one that emphasizes the beauty of subject matter and composition rather than documentation. She uses the elements of nature as her paint and her camera as her brush.

Julie and her family, including 3 Beagle girls and a Dachshund boy, live in Rockland county, N.Y.
